Savannah New Homes
Posted in New Homes, Savannah, Savannah neighborhoods with tags Berwick, construction, homes, new, New homes, new homes in Savannah Ga, Savannah, Savannah new homes on July 20, 2010 by savannahgeorgiahomesWould you like to live in a brand new home? Be the first family to live there…..even pick out your carpet, tile and hardwood flooring, choose your cabinets, counters, decide whether you want brick, siding, stucco, stone and on and on?
If that’s the case buying a new home in Savannah may be for you. Building from the ground up may take 4 to 6 months from start to finish but new home communities usually have homes in different floor plans at various stages of completion. Even if you are looking to move into a new home in just a month or two, often you can still choose many of these custom features in plenty of time.
Savannah has a wide variety of new homes throughout Chatham county and in every price range.
Just to name a few……
- Berwick Plantation
- The Villages at Berwick
- Chapel Park at Berwick
- The Enclave
- Legacy Square
- Stonebridge
- The Lakes at Cottonvale
- Savannah Quarters
- Sweetwater Station
- Bradley Point South
- Canebrake Village
Give me a call or send me an email and I would be happy to email you some new construction homes to to look through.
Remember, when you walk into a new homes community the on site agent represents the seller so make sure you have an agent with you on your first visit to the community. As an agent who is experienced in new home sales I can help you to negotiate the best price and upgrades for your money and look out for YOUR best interests…. not the seller’s.
Keep in mind, there is a lot to consider when purchasing a new home. How long will they still be building in the community? Is there a possibility that you may need to relocated before the community has finished construction? If so, will I be able to compete with the builder’s prices if I have to offer mine for sale? These are questions that a knowledgeable agent can discuss with you.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Ardsley Park homes
Posted in Ardsley Park, Hunter Army Airfield, Memorial Hospital, Savannah, Savannah neighborhoods with tags Ardsley Park, Georgia, homes, real estate, Savannah on January 14, 2009 by savannahgeorgiahomesArdsley Park, one of Savannah’s most popular neighborhoods began around 1910 with the advent of the automobile becoming Savannah’s first suburb. Just a ten minute drive from the downtown Historic District, Ardsley Park – Chatham Crescent was added in 1985 to the Register of Historic Places. The design is similar to that of the Historic District which was planned by Savannah’s founder General James Edward Oglethorpe, laid out on a grid of landscaped parks and squares.
Most of the homes were built in the first half of the 20th century and are a mixture of large two story homes and smaller “bungalows”. Savannah’s first suburb, laid out in 1911, is a mixture of prestigious four and five bedroom mansions and quaint, craftsman style bunglalows situated on tree lined streets. The borders of Ardsley Park seem to be an ongoing debate. Because of the enormous popularity of the neighborhood it’s not uncommon for people to debate what’s “true Ardsley Park” and what’s “Ardsley Park adjacent”. I understand the original boundaries were Victory Drive to the north( originally called Estill Avenue) to 55th St. to the south and Bull St. to the west and Habersham St. to the east but today the eastern boundary is mostly considered to be all the way to Waters Ave.
Ardsley Park has become one of the city’s hottest neighborhoods and real estate prices typically range from about 250,000 to $350,000 for to up to a million and beyond for very large homes. Located about 10 minutes from both the southside business areas and the downtown Historic District helps make Ardsley Park a convenient neighborhood. Only a 20 minute drive to Wilmington and Whitemarsh Islands and a 30 minute trip to the beach. At the edge of Ardsley Park you’ll find one of Savannah’s largest and most popular parks, Daffin Park.
Ardsley Park is a true walking neighborhood with sidewalks, lush lawns with mature trees and scattered with beautiful parks. For many Savannah residents Ardsley Park is the only place they would call home! If you have an appreciation for older homes with lots of character then Ardsley Park is a neighborhood you’ll want to explore.
Savannah, Georgia was named one of America’s prettiest towns.
